The
following factors affect what you pack:
- The
weather is warm and humid both day and night.
- The
weather is cool enough at night for a bed sheet, but only one is furnished.
Bring one with you.
- The
terrain is not steep, except in very few places.
- The
ground is dry, almost any kind of shoes is adequate
- You
may need to walk 1/2 mile to hunt but if you can't, we make other arrangements.

Flying insects are not abundant, but bring a repellent
- In
some locales there are a few small ticks.
- You
will stop at a store for beer and snacks as you depart Flores for camp.
The
following items are suggested:
- Lightweight
camo hunting clothing and paraphernalia

T-shirts and short-sleeved shirts
- Long-sleeved
shirt--light weight, dark color or camo to hunt in
- Socks--extras
- Shoes--lightweight
boots for hunting; light shoes or sandals in camp.
- Lightweight
poncho or rain gear
- Binoculars
- Small
flashlight
- Camera
and film -- film should be at least 200 ISO because of shaded conditions
- Cigarette
lighter or matches
- Photo
copies of all documents (passport, tickets, and so on) packed separately
from the originals.
- Zip-lock
bags
- Toiletries
(including bath soap)
- Bed
sheet (one will be furnished, but two are needed)
- Bath
towel and wash cloth
- Rubbing
alcohol (for ticks)
- Medical
-- prescriptions, band-aids, iodine, antibiotic cream, anti-diarrhea
drug
- Insect
repellent with deet
- A
small piece of cloth for camo blind (if you like to use such, it will
be useful in calling turkeys)
- Moist
towelettes
- Knife
-- be sure to pack it in your checked luggage, not carry-on
- A
cardboard box, flattened, to have your flat turkey skin packed in (36"x15"x2").
- A
heavy-duty garbage bag for your trophy skin
- Cash
for tips (about $60-$100 total; change to Guatemalan money at Flores
airport)
- Booze
if you use it; beer if you use it

to prepare your trophy
